GaugeMaster (iPad/Mac) End of Life 2025/05/31

GaugeMaster Pro (Web) Transition

It's been quite a journey with GaugeMaster, the journey continues with GaugeMaster Pro!

If you are a current user of GaugeMaster for iPad and/or Mac you should read this.

After more than twelve years on the market, GaugeMaster for iPad and Mac will soon be no more. I want to dearly thank all the users that found joy and/or efficiency in using GaugeMaster to design their gauges. I had some really impressive feedback from users surprised at the amazing gains when designing gauges with GaugeMaster. I want to specially thank the ones that shared with me what they used GaugeMaster for. It was exciting to read these unusual stories, from jet fighter cockpit repairs, to organ fixing tools, to car refurbs or industrial gauge manufacturing.

Though, over time, it became clear that the iPad, the original platform for the app, which provided a unique and practical way of designing gauges with hand gestures, was not the most adequate for a lot of industries that could benefit from this app. For this reason a Mac version followed a few years ago, but that still didn't help a huge number of potential users and industry applications.

That's why, some months ago, a brand new and completely rewritten app for the web was released as GaugeMaster Pro. Gauge Master Pro is not just a rewrite, but a much enhanced version of the original GaugeMaster apps, and which has only started its evolution.

Since the web app provides a wider availability, and in many cases, a better experience for designing gauges, the iPad and Mac apps will be discontinued from May 31, 2025. This will mean that both apps will be removed from their respective App Stores from that date and will no longer receive updates or be available for download.

If you have an old permanent iPad/Mac license your app should continue to operate after that date as long as you don't uninstall the app. If you were to remove the app from a device you will not be able to reinstall it. If you are using the iPad/Mac apps under subscription, the paid features will stop to work after that date when they expire.

If you are a GaugeMaster iPad/Mac app user please consider moving to the new GaugeMaster Pro web app as soon as possible, and reach out through support to get the best possible subscription deal on your transition to the new app.

When moving on to the new GaugeMaster Pro don't forget to convert all your old GaugeMaster files through the export options on the iPad/Mac GaugeMaster apps. Please review this conversion tutorial video showing the file conversion process or reach out to support if you have any issues. Also read the FAQ page for some important notes on the differences between GaugeMaster and GaugeMaster Pro capabilities.

Here's hoping you will join me on the new journey with GaugeMaster Pro!

Thank you
